For the past couple of months, I have been in a whirlwind of changes; from my engagement, my first trip to Japan, my marriage and now moving in to live with my husband. Such a long exciting process that I think everyone would agree. Not too long ago, I was in my home country (Philippines) celebrating my last Christmas with my family and some of the closest people I have known. It was of course, extra special since I won’t get to be with them for some time. Nonetheless, we would definitely still be in contact.
Anyway, fast forward to the present. I landed after a four hour flight in Fukuoka Airport, two days after Christmas. Fukuoka Airport might not be one of those major airports in Japan like Narita and Haneda but this never discouraged me from commending its cleanliness and quality.

After a quick inspection at the immigration, I almost ran with my hearts out to see my husband (which I haven’t been with for four straight months after our wedding). He gave me a long warm welcome hug and since then I felt I was home away from home (even in this foreign country).
After filling in our hungry hearts from missing each other, we have to of course satisfy our starving tummies. We went to a Hawaiian themed restaurant called Eggs ‘n Things which I have been eyeing since I saw its good reviews online. It is located conveniently in the heart of the city which was luckily just quite a few walks from our hotel.

We ordered their most enticing chicken roasted cuisine and a couple of sweet pancakes for a good dessert. The place was just cozy as I expected but the food was actually better than we thought. -and we dig in!

The night was young but I was shivering at the same time. So after the meal, we head to some few clothing stores to get me some winter essentials such as gloves and socks (and I was warm enough in a jiffy!).
We took our time for some few strolls in the city’s park and admired the illumination of the festive holiday. It was a long day for both of us (me and my husband), but finally we’re reunited and couldn’t wait for our future adventures together!
